Someone on social media told me, "You managed to capture the essence and personality of those kids in your drawing."
The beauty of a drawing is that is based on the essence of that person, place or thing. Otherwise, why bother? :0)
To me, a drawing that is so literal that it includes all the details but has no personality is a disappointment.
Because if you're looking for a literal interpretation, go with a photograph.
